I've been playing around with Disk Cleanup in Windows XP. I'm trying to create a batch file that only cleans out one (1) and only one (1) specific HDD partition (my T: drive), where all my temporary files have been routed to. However, it seems that I can't seem to use /SageRun:n option in conjunction with the /d option for the cleanmgr.exe command line. Here's what I've tried: A. Created a Sage Set by using the command B. Chose my options for the Sage Set, and exited. C. Having my Sage Set options stored in my Registry, I try to run cleanmgr.exe against only the T: partition. I tried these commands: cleanmgr.exe /dt /sagerun:1024 RESULT: Disk Cleanup ran against all partitions (not what I want) cleanmgr.exe /sagerun:1024 /dt RESULT: Disk Cleanup ran against all partitions (not what I want) cleanmgr.exe /sagerun:1024 RESULT: Disk Cleanup ran against all partitions (not what I want) cleanmgr.exe /dt RESULT: Disk Cleanup ran only for T: partition, but I had to manually specify options. (also not what I want) REQUIREMENTS: -------------------- Run automated, and unattended Disk Cleanup on one, and only one HDD partition (T: in my case), using all Clean Disk checks from a batch file, or a script file. This script file should execute when Windows XP is either starting up, or shutting down, with no human intervention. The PC in question is a multi-user PC, so ideally the script should work no matter who boots the PC. If anyone can help in this endeavor, I'm sure many of us would benefit from it. I don't care if we tweak the registry, write some vbscript, program a batch file, or all of the above. (I'm new to vbscript, but you gotta learn sometime. ) I appreciate any insights, input, or assistance anyone can offer..Thank you.
